No, I do not have a dry vermiculite barrier, and that's one of my main problems. The reason I didn't use one, was because my needles weren't long enough, so they couldn't penetrate the barrier. Now, that means that I have no means of getting the excess water out, and no means of getting any gas exchange without getting the jar contaminated.

You post sounds very reasonable to me, I appreciate your advice

you know how crazy? real crazy. my jars now have water droplets in them, and they are about 95% colonised, and i've gotten real impatient, and i'm gonna case now, and this sentence is real long.
i was thinking of manure, but that's way too much effort for me. good luck with the rest of the grow, nil

Ouch, that's too bad Looks a lot like the water content in my jar.
Our grows really seem to have a lot in common, though. Quite interesting/funny
Good luck!

Ah, and there's another bump
Pins are such an important event that I felt like a bump was called for. Slap me if I'm wrong.

bitchn pictures. it looked like they were coming right at me, out of my screen like some 3d film or some junk.
your fruits look really good too. real clean and white. tasty. and your terrarium is so lowtek, it is way cool. if they weren't trying to escape over the sides, you could put the lid on and on christmas offer them to people and they pick em right there.
my casing is still going along. nice and slow. might cold shock. dunno.
