 A Hungarian Bean Goulash Session With Stonesun (Pictorial).

I'm a Hungarian origin, so is this soup/stew what I cooked a few days ago.
This is not a traditional goulash, it has been
modified a little bit to
accommodate my taste.
It has been made traditionally over centuries in cauldron by cattlemen on the
Hungarian plains.
It is basically a beef and vegetable stew
with a lot of paprika.
We love the bean version of this, it's
very popular among family members and friends.
I've made 4 gallons of it and was gone
by the next day.
Let's get started!
Ingredients:
Diced yellow onions
Hungarian peppers and tomatoes
Just a little garlic (not this much
what's pictured...)
Potatoes
Carrots
Smoked hocks
8 lbs of Beef
Paprika, Bay leaves, Parsley
And kidney beans of course.
Here's all the ingredients, except salt, pepper, beef stock and cayenne pepper...
Cooking:
First you'll need a big ass pot
Heat up some lard. (yes, LARD!!!)
Saute onions until soft
Add pepper and tomatoes
Saute 'em for a few minutes
Add beef
Add hocks, salt and ground pepper
Let the meat brown stirring occasionally.
Add a few quarts of water, and bring it to
a boil.
Turn the heat down a little, and add paprika, bay leaves
and a load of beef bouillon.
Bring it back to the boil, and let it rip
until meat is almost tender.
Add more water, and adjust the flavor with
the spices, if necessary.
Also put some hot dried cayenne in.
Drop in potatoes and carrots
Add kidney beans and parsley, and turn down heat when carrots
and potatoes are tender.
Here is the done deal.
Serve it with some hot pepper mash, fresh
bread and a dollop of sour cream (optional
of course).
Enjoy!!!

as an asian person, it's pretty cool to see alot of the ethnic foods from europe.

I have logged in this once so that I can set the "last seen" feature up. let the faggots flow forth into OTD and have it. Its funny how they all grew nuts after I left. I'm not here, I'm not reading, but I urge you all to keep melting down over me. I know, I hurt alot of people, and they deserved it. epic win for me, epic fail for you.
