First flush from 1 pint rye – pics included.
AFOAF had just asked me over to help with some house work. He asked if this was average, small, large or what? There were a few large fruits in his batch. He printed each and is cloning some too. Comments appreciated.
A single 1 pint jar of Rye, soaked with an organic decaf coffee bomb (spent coffee grounds wrapped in double later cheese cloth) in the water and removed before the PC, cased to 2 separate 10”x14” aluminum trays of medium verm, organic seed starter (jiffy type mix but organic), hydrated lime and decaf coffee grounds. The case was mixed not layered. But one weird thing is that only the corners and edges seemed to fruit. It was incubated for 8 days.
Lighter was added for perspective of course.
This first flush is 342g or 11oz fresh.
Some pictures to follow…
First some caps snipped a couple days prior to harvest for printing. These weren’t included in the weight.

One of four more caps snipped today just prior to harvest printing to standard 100mmx15mm glass Petri dishes. All were about the same size.

Miscellaneous crop pictures.

They are P.c.Burma. The bases on many of them were cut off because of the substrate sticking deeply to the shrooms. That probably accountd for another 30g. Some bases were VERY hard, almost like soft wood at the substrate surface.

thats a very strange tek. CAsing layers generalyd ont get mixed with spawn, instead the spawn poured into trays and teh casing layer applied ontop. Also coffee isnt really a casing ingredient and i would think it to be bad as used coffee grinds grow mould quicly.
Looks pretty good though.

Cool. Thanks! That's what my FOAF is looking for. The reason for the odd TEK is that he loves to experiment. I think my AFOAF is looking for things that no one uses but are also unexplored things. Things that go against the 'grain' of the community. Things people say do not work but only because they have not tried them.
That is what makes the hobby interesting. Not following a step-by-step 'Think-Inside-The-Box' method. Anyone can build a model with instructions but to make something from scratch with only the minimum outline of documentation, that is interesting.
That out of the norm methodology is what makes him tick.
I think.

Also, does that seem about right for P.c.Burma strain or sub-strain?
