Hey folks, I've got alot of mushrooms growing in the front yard and I'm feeling optimistic about em but obviously I want to get a few extra opinions.
I'm trying to make a spore print right now but I've read that if the membrane has broken away from the cap already a spore print can't be made. I'm leaving it overnight under a bowl to see how it works out, if well I'll post more pictures tomorrow morning.

* Habitat: Central Texas(Bell County), on top of old soil and manure. * Gills: the gills are white and unattached. * Color that the mushroom bruises: pinched cap and stem but no bruises yet * Scent of the mushroom: they smell somewhat mushroomy but they aren't particularly strong.

Are you 100% on that, any 2nd, 3rd or 4th opinions?

Yes, I agree 100% with Alans identification, Chlorophyllum molybdites , toxic. The spore deposit should have a green tinge to it! inski..

alright cool, well thanks for the help anyway yall. I didn't expect to get responses so fast... I should have used these forums before I wasted all that money on my failed mushroom growing experiments a few months ago.

haha nah, I did alot of reading today about finding mushrooms in the wild... it seems to be a pretty solid consensus that eating random shit can get pretty dangerous. and I've only actually done shrooms 3 times so I don't really trust my own judgment on somethin like that.
