I found about 60 yesterday afternoon in an old patch i hadn't been to in about two weeks...they are till out there but definitely starting to wane.:(

i am also a newfoundlander and this year on the east coast we have early frost in almost early september i found liberty caps in the back yard there the other day and what i done when dring my shrooms i just but them ver a piece of paper in a drawer and it works perfect anywayz happy hunting

Now that the cold weather is coming I'm back on this board.

I checked my field tonight but to no avail. Every year it gets worse and worse.. really need to find something new.

ive been looking too for the last coupple days but also nothing here.

These were found recently in a grassy field outside St. John's. Caps are dark brown, gills are black. Only found 4 of them growing together. Can anyone identify them?

Alan, just because these are east coasters, does not mean you have to talk like you did in your other post in this thread, from a year ago, back up the page: "...they can be hard to ID to species"

so i went out sunday morning to the feild i go every year and they have 2 roads going right through it now theres a bit of grass left up there but im very unhappy about this

Nice finds Otis. I was out saturday and only found about a handfull nothing worth talking about I still believe we are not getting the right temperatures but good hunting man what part of the island are you on?
