i won't, and i would never, but hear me out:
i'm stuck in the dorms this year, and i live at the end of the hall in a small section of the building. a few doors down is our resident director's apartment (she is in charge of the building). across the hall from me is this other stoner kid that blazes in his dorm pretty much every single day. after you pass my door and his, there is a pretty significant gap until you come to the next set of doors, so it's really obvious whenever this retard decides to toke that it is coming from our area.
anyways...after the first two weeks of this, the whole first floor got signs posted on their door from the resident director saying she smelled pot on our floor several times, and that "air freshener was not good at covering it up." she said if she smelled it again, she was going to call in the university police and have them search everyone's rooms.
i had only smoked once in my room since the notice went out, and i immediately stopped and just started taking a joint outside or going over to friend's houses. i know our RD was not kidding and i can't risk getting busted. but this other mother fucker has continued to blaze. i just woke up to take a piss (it's 3am here) and it reeks of pot around our doors and almost down to where the RD lives. these dorms have horrible circulation in the halls and it will probably smell like that for at least an hour or two. she could wake up at any time and walk outside her room and call the cops.
even if she doesn't notice it tonight, i have no doubt this guy is going to continue to push the limits. i can't have this dumbass getting the cops called on us though. i look like a stoner, and i already don't get along with the RD because of noise violations, so i know she's gonna come right for my room, and even though i don't smoke in here i do have questionable items.
i'm gonna confront this kid in the morning and tell him if he doesn't quit smoking i'm gonna call the cops. i'm not really going to call them, but i seriously don't know what else to do. i know it's a total bitch move but if i call him out on it maybe he'll wise up.
i don't want to try and "buddy up with him" and say that i smoke weed too and don't want to get busted, because i don't really know this kid and he may as well narc me if he gets in trouble.
shroomery....advice please

i understand how you feel but sometimes you just have to go about it in a different way.. maybe complain about the smell yourself so it doesnt look like it was you, and will give you a heads up if they are searching you got a minute to clear your shit out ya know? thats like worst case senerio. if your feeling kinda evil go over right after you know he blazed and just noid him out a bit saying you heard people talking about how they know it was him...I have gotten urges to narc once or twice to but in the end you really cannot have anyone elses name coming out of your mouth, but it is ok to cover your own tracks. good luck keep me posted.

i didn't see him all day. do you think it's kosher to knock on his door considering i don't know the kid? i want to avoid animosity as much as possible so i was thinking about just trying to catch him in the hall and ask him if he wants a cig. the kid never leaves his room...and that's saying a lot coming from a guy who browses the shroomery for 1-2 hours most days lol

tell him you're also a smoker and he's gonna get everyone caught. Tell him its the same as Narc'ing on everyone else in the dorm and if he doesnt wise up he'll get his ass kicked like a narc deserves...
