 I want to shroom but have bad trips. Advice?

So the subject basically says it all, but let me give some background info about myself. I have done LSD around 10 times, up to 7 hits of liquid, I've done peyote and loved it. Ive never had a bad trip on either. I Have taken shrooms maybe 10 or 15 times and never had a problem until I made myself shroom tea with like 6 grams and started fully tripping in like 30 mins. It was unpleasant to say the least. I have done shrooms 4 times since then and always had a bad trip. I know that set and setting have a huge impact, and i know to do them with good trusted buddies, but other than that any advice?

you might want to elaborate a bit...
what is making it a "bad" trip? is it that the experience is too negative based on your situation in life, or is it just too scary that the world is suddenly ending?
is it that only mushrooms give you bad trips, or that you have been having bad trips most recently, and they just so happen to have been mushrooms?
did you smoke weed with these bad trips? that can make a big difference, good for some, terrifying for others, and not because they can't handle pot either
set & setting cannot be overemphasized. To have a good "set" not only means that you are ready to face the unknown, but it also implies that you know for absolute fact that your car door is locked, that the dog is fed, your electric bill was turned in on time, etc...little things can set off a nasty chain of anxiety
one suggestion I have, aside from the all-important set & setting (meaning have your responsibilities taken care of, have your life in order, etc)...is to dose gradually. Mushrooms can hit harder than other psychedelics, and give you an OH SHIT rushing sensation...you can make that a little easier by taking a smaller dose, then when it is fully working, you will be more comfortable about taking more. just be very careful not to take too much more

When I made the tea and drank it, it was by far the strongest trip ive ever had, and in that case I was just having all sorts of irrational fears, but not electric bill not being payed type of fears, more like world ending fears. Then the the next time i took them, several months or a year later, i took about 2.5 grams, and i was having electric bill type of fears, even tho it was my birthday and i was with two of my closest friends. I smoked weed that time but i looove the ganja. Thanks for the replies, guys.

I didn't read the thread but I wish I could have a really frightening trip. Last trip I had I really tried to make it horrible on my self and I just couldnt not see the good in everything.

I just want the full experiance the good and the bad. I just never get scared in my life its an emotion I havn't really explored.

Why not? If every trip you've had was good and you wernt scared of having a "bad" trip wouldn't you be curious to explore it?

Not the extreme fear I hear people talking about when their trips go bad. I just think it would be a neat experiance once everythings said and done.

When bad trips are over it's kind of like "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!?!?!?"
nothing really enjoyable about it - it's like a good trip, just everything goes wrong, nobody aims for that, and bad trips aren't really an achievement - just a sign of failing to achieve proper ego death, and hanging on for dear life in the space between the space of first and second bardo's. Upon reentry you tend to get rather depressed as well.
