Hey Shroomery,
Should I buy an xbox or a ps3 with part of my paycheck. I like great online fps fights discuss.

bottom line, the ps3 is a superior machine..while xbox live does have a more robust online community, there are more than enough players on PSN and its free.
If your really into online FPS, your wasting your time with consoles anyways, the computer is top dog in FPS games, just a simple fact.

xbox - it actually has games worth playing - I can think of maybe 4 worth owning a PS3 for, but at least 11 on the 360.
Though tbh the PC is still where it's at!

please list those 11 games that are on xbox360 that are worth playing and not available on ps3, and also, the 4 worth owning on ps3..i may want to check them out

I'm an xbox owner and I really like it, but I voted for PS3 because of the blu ray player and free online play. Plenty of good games for PS3 too.

i say ps3 all the way man. i have owned both and i was in your same position before i went and bought my ps3. after my 2nd xbox broke i got a ps3 you wont be disapointed...personally i like the playstation games better...all the best xbox games are available on both besides the xbox exclusives...ps3 just feels higher quality...better interface...free online.. you wont regret ps3

XBOX breaks like 54% of the time, but has better games.
My buddy bought one on release day and it has busted 6 times.

It does break easy but at least its easy to get replaced 
My brothers red ringed.. he just took it to the place where he got it, they gave him a new one free. 
I guess they just return the defective one to Microsoft and get a replacement.

yea everyones xbox breaks eventually...which is bullshit IMO. low quality product compared to ps3

Your only guna find 4 or 5 games worth playin on PS3

yeah right I sold my Xbox and have never missed it or it's oversized controllers. The only thing that I even think I would play is Halo. PSN is free, the games look better, and the system is more reliable. My Xbox broke twice and my PS3 has had no problems at all.

saints row 2
fallout3
dead space
socom confrontation
resistance fall of man 1 and 2
street fighter IV
modern warfare 1 and 2
skate 2
gta 4
killzone 2
resident evil 5
fear 2
tom clancys hawx (sweeeeeeet game)
& more
idk basically...most all of th ebest games are available on both platforms. there arnt many exclusives i can think of (besides halo and fable) that you would be missing..and i would rather play a game on the ps3 than the xbox...plus the new final fantasy will be coming out for ps3.

The only possible way this argument would make sense is if they were exclusives. Four exclusives for the PS3 eh? Like Uncharted 1/2, Killzone 2, LBP, MGS3, Demon Souls, Ratchet and Clank... Those are just off the top of my head.
Now the 360 you have Halo, Left 4 dead, Gears, Fable... Those are just off the top of my head.
A year and a half maybe two ago you would have been right. What I'm saying is your wrong. Both consoles have great must own exclusives. Next time you pull an argument out of your ass like that back it up. It'll actually beneficial to those who read it.

If I had money for both I'd buy both, I'm not a fanboy either way. But I ended up buying a ps3 and I've been very satisfied... free online, great exlusives- Infamous, Killzone 2, Metal Gear, Heavenly Sword, Resistance, Little Big Planet, ect.
Whoever says there are no PS3 exclusives worth playing is a moron talking from like 2 years ago.
However... XBox also has some sweet ones as well like Gears of War, Halo, and Fable 2... they have a better online network, but you have to pay monthly so it's a catch 22.
I'd go with ps3, or if you've got money to blow- both. But ps3 first, for sure.

What games do you play that are only exclusive to the Xbox? I have both systems because my roomate has an Xbox, and honestly they are pretty similar. The Xbox exclusive games I dont like (like Halo and Gears of War), the PS3 exclusive I like some of (like GTA4 and Uncharted.
Ultimately the PS3 has free online which is the ultimate selling point and it has bluray.
Im way excited for Uncharted 2, should be fucking awesome

PS3 definetly, personally i prefer the ps3 exclusives anyway. Don't know why people like halo so much the online is good (plenty of shooters out there on a par tho) but the campaign is shit. MAG coming out for the ps3 250 man FPS games. Will be mad good if they get it right. Also FF versus 13 is still ps3 exlusive even tho FF13 isn't. God of war 3 will be awesome, little big is one of the best stoner games of all time simplicity at it's best. MGS4 is one of the best games I have played although it's not the kinda of game I could play through more than once simply because it's the storyline and way it's set up that just took my breath away first time round. KZ2 is one of my personal favourite FPS' although the online is not for everyone I love it.
Then you've got blu-ray, well made, reliable, better parts, better graphics and longer controller life. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.
