 pressure cooker help

Ok so I got a pressure cooker from a friend but im curious as how I can get the pressure to 15 lbs. There is no timer or anything to change it so what do I do? Prob a noob question but I need advice..

Your gonna have to tell us what kinda pressure cooker it is... i mean you might just wanna look it up via google and look at the instructions from the company that makes it.

pressure isnt changed with a timer. Cheap PC's usually run at 1 setting, some PC's have a weight that can be seperated into 3 peices so you have see different presure settings.
Sometimes it tells you on the underside of the weight.
fill with about 2-3 inches of water. put on high heat and when steam has vented for 5 minutes put the weight on. Once pressure has built steam will make the weight jiggle and steam escapes. You then turn the heat down so the weight just jiggles with little steam escaping. Youc an now time

It doesnt have a weight.. I guess its a steam vent that sticks out the top. Has a metal thing you place in it so the glass isnt touching the flame?

yea I just mean like the heat source... it has it all except a weight thing and a pressure regulator. I went to their website I guess they dont make this one anymore... I just need it for some WBS jars

well if you know what website to go to, then tell use the make of your pressure cooker the model, and post a pic if you got a pic of it.
someone will know what it is and wha tyou need to get it running

They don't have a model number on it. Its a mirro and their website does not have this model anymore from the looks of it
