My Monotub: The substrate might not be deeply colonized. Help? Solved (With pictures)

Hi everyone,
I recently made my first monotub (80 quarts), 4 inch substrate made of 1,5 brick of coir, 1L vermiculite and 1L coffee. I used 6 quarts of spawn (WBS) and it's golden teacher. I followed Large_Dose tek, and I made a frosting layer on top like him. On august 29, it was completely colonized after 8 days, and it was put in fruiting conditions. Today, I can count 50 pins, and more to come, it's looking great. But! There's a but!
Today there was this slime (1 square inch), transparent, odorless in a corner of the monotub on the mycelium. It was probably water that accumulated from the mycelium, so I removed it (just from the surface). Because I damaged the mycelium, I decided to make a test. I made a hole with a pencil on that spot, going completely to the bottom of the tub. Then, the horror, I see that it's not colonized under that 1 cm layer, it's intact (no contamination btw) and it's rather humid, even a little bit wet (but not water accumulation). Now, maybe it's just in that spot that it isn't colonized deep, because I checked a little bit on the side by removing some of the plastic bag (don't worry, no light is going in).
So, what do I do? Was it because my coir was too humid when I used it, so it couldn't be colonized deep by a lack of oxygen? Will the mushrooms absorb some the water during the first flush, and then proceed to colonized deeper?
Sorry, I'll have picture in 3 days. Thanks

9 days? Guess it wasn't ready. Block the holes, let c02 build back up and hope it colonizes? Pick some arbitrary date to put back into fc? 5 more days? Spray 10% h202 where you poked and prodded at it? Just 2 cents.

8 days isn't long enough, IME. Your spawn ratio was nearly 1:4, I would expect 10 days easily for colonization.
Don't spray with anything, just button her back up for a few days.

So I checked after 3 days the hole I did with a pencil, and it looks like it's completly colonised (Yay!). Thanks guy.

If you mean in the top right corner, yes. But next to the hole I think it's a seed. For the pics of my monotub: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11033919

It's a mycelial vagina!!
-------------------- HELLO, NUBCAKES. ARE YOU HAVING CONTAMINATION ISSUES? WELL, YOU MUST NOT BE AWARE OF THE MAGICAL FORCE OF BACTERIAL ENDOSPORES. E-N-D-O-S-P-O-R-E-S. SPELL IT OUT, YOU GOD DAMN NUBLETS, BECAUSE IT WHAT CAUSES EVERY CONTAMINATION KNOWN TO MAN. ENDOSPORES HAPPEN WHEN YOU DO NOT PRESSURE COOK AT 15 PSI FOR AT LEAST 6 HOURS. LIKE A FUCKING VIETCONG IN HIS CAVE, THESE RELENTLESS COCKSUCKSERS CAN GET FUCKING FRIED AND STILL POP OUT OF YOUR GRAIN AND FUCK ALL YOUR SHIT RIGHT UP!! GETTING CONTAMINATIONS? WELL OBVIOUSLY, YOU DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ENDOSPORES!!
