Seems damn fair to me. This is of benefit if you ask me, even if they lose dispensaries. You might not agree with me, but the alternative is arrest, steal, break shit, excess raids, seize property, freeze assets, and label someone as unfit for certain rights because of felony arrest. This would also force the courts to decide, but have a lot more implications and cause a huge shit storm, as well as force some political pressure on the judge to be "tough" on """""CRIME""""". This is probably for the better if you ask me. It also shows other states and the federal government that laws and rules under medical marijuana laws can be and are able to be treated just like ANY other law (amendment technically, I know).

The law really should be clarified, and standards set. It is not right to prosecute people operating in a legal gray area.
It isn't right to allow cannabis to be used medicinally, but prosecute those who provide the medicine because the law isn't clear and regulations aren't in place. The loophole that needs to be closed is the fact that legal dispensers must obtain an illegal product; to operate, they must incriminate themselves.
There needs to be a group of growers who can grow legally and provide to the dispensaries only. The way to do this is set aside properties used for growing, and have the amount of marijuana leaving the grow and entering dispensaries monitored.
I also agree with the "abuse" of the medicinal system mentioned in the article. If doctors prescribe pot for basically anything, that undermines the medicinal movement and those who genuinely need it and cant live without it suffer.
