Is it really different if a human dies contrast to an animal? [GRAPHIC]
    #10948502 - 08/27/09 03:44 PM (3 years, 8 months ago)

Had this been a human there would be tears and wails but who cried for this giraffe? Is it because they are not concious of being killed? Is that why we can kill our babies via abortion?

i feel the opposite.

i couldn't give less of a shit if a human dies.  but if i see an animal, particularly one with intelligence and/or emotion, like a dog or cat, suffering and dying, there's something about it that really gets to me.  i think its something about how they're not able to rationalize such pain and suffering without our level of intelligence, and it just seems so unfair.

now, combine that with animal abuse, with sick fucks abusing and purposefully hurting helpless animals so they can pop little boners, i fucking rage hardcore.

Of course it's different: like comparing the death of an ant to that of a cat. I'm sure there are countless reasons why a dead giraffe doesn't stir the same emotional reaction with most people.

We've been hunting other animals for hundreds of thousands, even millions, of years. We use their bodies for food, tools, warmth, etc. So killing other animals out of necessity is hard-wired into our psyche. It comes naturally to us.

Most cultures have never crossed the line into human-hunting. The only similar ritual we practice is war, but most of us are desensitized to that anyways. A picture of charred bodies, smoldering remains of a suicide bomber, flashes on the news and hardly anyone would flinch.

By the way: College Humor? Is that supposed to be funny? Sick fucks. :nonono:

I think animals are a lot smarter than we think. I believe they do have consciousness. either way, humans are no better than any animal. or anything for that matter. there is no better or worse in this world. thats an illusion

Sadder when an animal that has no cruel intent dies needlessly as opposed to an individual self destructing or acting out upon others.

I don't think ending one life is any different from another.
I was posting pics of dead cats the other day and people cried.
Had i posted pics of dead black children there would have been plenty of lolz.

Of course they are conscious of being killed.  You are really this ignorant?  You've never seen an animal injured, dying, or in pain before?

I value the life of an animal, any animal, much greater than that of any human.  We are filth that deserve to be exterminated like cockroaches.  All we do is take take take and rape the people and land we live on.  Fuck humans.
