 Some fucked up shit happened...need some advice

My buddy came over this weekend to stay and hang out like the good ole' days like we used to before girlfriends, careers and own personal interests came into play.
We're smoking some blunts and I decide to let my buddy chill at my house while I walk down to the BP to get a fountain pop because I have severe cotton chops and absolutely despise the blandness of water which is the only thing available to drink.
All the while I'm walking down there and back, my friend decides he is going to make him a deli sandwich with some of the meat and bread I have in the fridge...this is where shit gets fucked up....
As I enter into the house, I find my friend hunched over the couch, grabbing his throat and blue in the face, and I mean blue/purplish. Panicking, thinking my friend is really choking bad and could lose his life, my gut instinct told me to perform the Heimlich maneuver (which I have never done, only seen on T.V.), and after 6 thrusts with my balled up fists, he hocks out this wad of shit that looked nasty, and contained within was a inch piece of plastic that kinda looked like a staple and was sorta hard and flexible.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing, the FDA is really fucking up and letting things go to shit.
My question to all of you reading this post....could this potentially be turned into a lawsuit against the company who manufactures this product for a pain/suffering case because there is no telling if a minute passed by he may have been dead when I walked in, and if it can be turned into a case, does anyone have any advice as to who to see about making a claim against the company responsible?
Feedback needed please, we're going to try and get something started this week and any personal cases you have went through which might be relevant to this, your feedback is needed!

Bp is Number #1 i always go to the bp to get my white owls and drinks for 1$ any size

The suspense of that was killing me, only to find out your friend choked on shit. I thought this story was going to turn for the worse and be more like
"So after I open the front door my old friend had his wang in his chicken sandwich"

Yea we always go there to get our fountain pops, 44oz. three time a day, that like a gallon of pop, fuckin rediculous if you ask me...
But yea, we put the sandwich and the plastic piece in a bag and put it in the freezer.
Just want to be able to say I helped a friend get one over on the man for a change, maybe I could turn this into a bigger issue and be heard on CNN....just a thought

How do you know that the plastic didn't come from your house?
Was it in deli meat?
How the hell did he not see it when he fixed the sammich?
Plus, he didn't notice it before he swallowed it, or inhaled it into his windpipe rather?

There was a plastic staple looking object of sorts, I wouldn't try and make this something it wasnt, I'm not one of these ingrates that sit around and wait for something like this to happen, we both work and have lives, and this just happened out nowhere and caught me off guard...thats all.

We are positive it came from the deli meat, and the plastic is just flexible enough to be hidden in between the slices of meat, which are somewhat decent sized proportions

That's a crazy amount of soda. How can you stand consuming that much HFCS in a day? That's gotta make you feel like shit!

I only thought about that after it had happened, but like I said, it happened pretty quick & we had been smoking a lil and didnt really feel that dialing 911 was warranted seeing how I walked through the door at the right time to help my buddy out.

i've had kidney stones (before 26 ha), which at first was due mostly to all the soda I drank. Believe me, you don't want to have to deal with what I've had to, its a detriment to life. Not everybody who drinks soda gets them, but still...heed the warning. My grandma never got kidney stones but wound up with diabetes, and was addicted to soda, btw. That's a very long and drawn out miserable way to go
