heres one of mine all a macro shot is is a real narrow field of focus you should have it on manual focus and fool around a little and dou you were glasses or not that might have some thing to do with it also its all about the lighting and reflections

what kind of camera does it have removable lenses cause that helps with the manual focusing

Macro will only work un zoomed... and work best with a tripod of some kind and plenty of ambient light.

be about 3-5 inches away from what youre taking a picture of.
and make sure you macro is turned ON

This. You can bearly get ANY zoom using macro mode. Which reminds me, are you using macro mode?
Also, digital zoom is complete shit, it just results in crappy quality images. Optical zoom = muy bueno.

 You are using a Vivitar Vivicam v5022. This appears to be a very basic point-and-shoot camera. I doubt that you can get any macro with that. None of the online spec sheets that I can find give a minimum focus distance so you probably can't get closer than arm's length. Although you could always hold a magnifying glass in front of the subject and get up close shooting through that. (Sounds crazy but I promise you that it can work.)

yea its cool, ill try that and i figured out how to atleast get some "ok" pictures with it...


not really Macro, but its good enough.
it was $39.99 what can i say?
