Which Amanita do you reckon it is? It seems like the white ones are often death or angel caps, but that one looks a bit rough.
Also, edra, if you don't mind my asking, which prefecture is producing Amanitas in July?

I don't really trust myself to ID most Amanitas from another continent down to species reliably. They are just too regionally specific.

Please photograph and record as much info as possible. Surrounding trees, weather, dates, soil, etc. Hopefully we can compile some info, but unless I'm mistaken, I need to wait until Autumn to contribute. Please PM me if you want to help me document and study Amanitas in Asia.

Thanks! For some reason I think Amanita are the most beautiful mushrooms, and fun to photograph too!

By the way. Does Agrocybe farinacea should become blue on damages? Or in other words. Does all psylocin/psylocibin containing shrooms should become blue on damaged places?

Yo dude! I'm out in Kyoto-fu also... near the coast. There are some great shrooms in this area! There's actually a mushroom theme park near where I live. I've found a ton of Amanita Pantherina in the area, but they aren't psychoactive... Apparently Amanita Muscaria is around, but most of the trees are cedar and not pine so they are hard to find. That mushroom farm you found is for Shitake which are easy to ID and quite delicious. Anyways good luck!

Yes. You should look for Agrocybe farinacea every day.

98% of them. The other 2% are already dark colored so the blue doesn't show much.

Well, what about Psilocybe semilanceata? They almost never bruise at all and are still one of the most active species. They just contain close to no psilocin but an extremely high level of psilocybin.

The bluing reaction is a result of the breakdown of psilocin into unknown enzymes once it comes into contact with the air induced by handling or natural growth; indicates specie most likely contains, or contained, psilocin (a select few specie also bruise blue and contain no psilocin) and this reaction is indirectly proportionate to the potency(the more bruising, the more psilocin is broken down and lost).
