I found these very large mushrooms on a hike today, and was wondering whether they are King Bolete mushrooms. They were found in woods in SE WI. I haven't taken a spore print.
It hasn't rained for at least a week, so these may be a little dry.
Is anyone familiar with these?

Habitat: WOODS
Gills: Pores, brownish Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Stem: 5", brownish, solid, thick
Cap: 4-5", bulbous at base, brown, leathery
Spore print color: Have Yet to take spore print.
Bruising: No Brusing
Location: Southeastern Wisconsin

Sure looks like an edible Bolete to me. Whether or not it is Boletus edulis, I cannot say.
Get a spore print for safe measures, just to rule out Tylopilus.

Appears to be a Tylopilus. Check the spore print color and taste.

The pores are a bit too pale considering the maturity of the mushrooms.

Thanks for the help. I did the taste test last night, and it was extremely bitter, so it looks like Tylopilus.
Hopefully, I'll find some edibles soon, and I learned quite a bit this time around.
Thanks again!
