I've been having luck under oaks, in the shadier, wetter spots and today I searched downhill where water runs when it rains...that's when I really started finding them! Look in run off areas under oaks...

Must be optical illusion! Some of the cibarius were good sized, but next week should be better for size and quantity. This shit takes a lot of patience!

Nice stuff Bob, I too am a big fan of the red chanterelles, they just started pinning around here, they put out some of the largest fruitings i have ever seen in any mushrooms. What they lack in size they make up for in numbers, and they taste the same as the other chants.
