I've been having luck under oaks, in the shadier, wetter spots and today I searched downhill where water runs when it rains...that's when I really started finding them! Look in run off areas under oaks...

Must be optical illusion!:lol: Some of the cibarius were good sized, but next week should be better for size and quantity. This shit takes a lot of patience!

Nice stuff Bob, I too am a big fan of the red chanterelles, they just started pinning around here, they put out some of the largest fruitings i have ever seen in any mushrooms.  What they lack in size they make up for in numbers, and they taste the same as the other chants.
