First off, i would like to thank everyone for the help along the way, 2nd, sorry for the poor quality pictures. Will update with new pics as the grow progress's.
B+ Brf JArs Spawned to Coir/Verm (monotub)
Cased 24 hours later with verm/peat moss/lime
once i applied casing i immediately put it into fruiting conditions. VERY HAPPY with the pinset!!!
Shrooms now coming up everywheres!!
From outside of grow monotub(fan/light)

Happy with ammount of shrooms i got from this project, next i grow i am innoculating with pop corn kernals. i will post a log of that soon

Coco-Coir (and/or local Horse Manure), Vermiculite, Gypsum (calcium sulfate), Composted Chicken Manure (3%-5%).

and you were right, i wish i could take saran wrap top of to take a better picture, i will at harvest time though. I would guess the substrate is about 4 inch's deep.

Looks like a VERY impressive pin set :-)
I am currently on my 3rd ever grow. I have only ever used BRF jars and each time has worked perfectly. I do fancy trying a monotub as they look like the next logical step.
I have been advised to try to use coir as you have done. May I ask which tek you followed? How did you pasturise the coir?

I used Large Dose's Coir Tek.
I mixed the coir/verm/coffee/water together according to tek above, then put the pot on the stove in which i mixed it them in. Turned temp to max, stirring a lot to evenly heat it, once it was all evenly hot and steaming, i put the lid on for two mins, then shut off stove, and removed pot, i let it cool overnight. I recommend using a temp gauge though.
It is all very simple. I basically mixed it, pasteurized, let it cool, spawned to the bulk substrate, set it and forgot about it, once was fully colonized, i added casing layer, took tape off holes, stuffed with poly fill, and forgot about it again.
In my opinion, cakes were more of a hastle, i always found myself misting, and checking to make sure it was right humidity etc, monotub was much easier for me.
i also bought a timer, which did the lighting, and turned the fan on at certain times of day for better air circulation in closet. I'm not extremely lazy, its just i'm not home much ha.

1st flush is done, gave it a good soaking, and is now back in fruiting conditions
Very happy with first flush, although i only have one fan for drying, and the humidity in my house is 89% right now, yikes

so happy with how many i got out of this, if only they werent so weak!!!!! i have tried them twice and get nothing, first 2grams dry, last night 5grams, hardly even felt anything!!

Im curious as to why they were so weak? do certain nutrients help the potency maybe?
