Mushroom hunting in the SF Bay Area

Hello Shroomery,
I'm curious if any Bay Area natives have some experience and words of wisdom regarding tracking down psychoactive mushrooms in the region. I live in San Francisco, and do not drive, so I'm pretty much just limited to my city and BART accessible areas. I've done a bit of research, and pickings seem fairly slim in my city, but the Bay Area itself seems like it has a pretty respectable mushroom count overall.
Not asking for specific locations necessarily, just general tips and tricks specific to my area.
Thanks in advance!

There is more information on this forum about hunting actives in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area than you could hope to read in a week.
So use the search and start reading up! http://www.shroomery.org/forums/search.php
