When/How should i pick? (pic)

I have 2 strains growing simultaneously (Golden teacher, Ecuador), and Ecuador practically doubles GT's growing rate. Anyway, this is what my fruiting chamber looks like. How/when should these be picked? Should i just do it as i see them grow, or is it best to pick all at the same time? Is it possible to be left on the cake for too long?

They're ready. Pick them all, fruits and aborts. Leave the pins, those are for your second flush. Dunk, roll, repeat.
Good job!!

Thank you, Doc... Can you see the 2 diff strains? Golden teachers are the smaller darker/maroon ones... Im pretty sure the Ecuadors (light brown) are ready to be picked, but you said "all"- even the shorter, stubby ones?
And my 2nd dunk-n-roll; would there be anything different than from the 1st one?

dont pick the mushroom unless it is mature or has started to turn darker (meaning it is an abort). it is not any more beneficial to harvest them all at once so just pick them as they each individually mature.

Here is a good rule of thumb.. Once the veil starts to tear they are ready to be picked..

Isn't it? You aren't getting any more magic after a point, they just put on water weight. So picking, then do a dunk and roll, should lead to the second flush coming in sooner. Right?

im trying to say that when using multispore you dont need to pick them all at the same time because they are all growing and maturing at different times.

Also, i just wanna say how fascinating this is... ::sigh:: This is my fist grow ever, and i think im in love with the sport
