*Warning* Long winded, boring, probably irrelevant post to follow. scroll down for summation
Hey guys, something pretty interesting is going on in the open space behind my organ. Well, maybe not that interesting.
Nine days ago I 'nocced a pf jar with a print from a beauty of a wild Texas cap, not really expecting anything but cobweb to form. But lo and behold i have a large healthy patch of snowy whiteness forming in mah jar.
Im waiting on a bag of rye grass to arrive at the health food store so i can fix some jars of that and hopefully g2g the shit out it. Seeing as to how everyone that eats caps off that field basically fires balls.
Im thinking its likely to contaminate during colonization, dontcha think?
Tl;dr wild print growing, potent strain, rye g2g to come.

if you get the cake not to contam i wouldn't worry to much, i do g2g with no sterile technique, just working fast in a clean room... and once that is done i wouldn't worry

Cool, thanks for the reply, Monkee.
I'm not worried about contamming during the transfer, just about possible hidden bacteria in the print. That or the mycelium belonging to another fungal species altogether...i read something about a wild psilocybe print growing coprinus.
Happy trails
