So I found a little shroom growing in the grass beside the road.
I live in North Carolina.
It looks sort of like a liberty cap, minus the bump on the top.
Does anyone know what this could possibly be ?
No pictures, my camera is broken...

Its no problem.
Habitat:
Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Spore print color:
Very important!
Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Habitat: Found growing in the grass on the side of the road.
Gills: Very small, dark brown
Stem: Brown, very fragile and thin
Cap: Light brown
Spore print: I have no idea
Bruising: Didn't appear to bruise a different color anywhere...
Location: Northeastern North Carolina
I'm kind of doubting it's active now..

Look-alikes to libs include P. pelliculosa and P. silvatica but both of those species grow in wood or mulch. Try and take a print. see what it shows.

Here is a description of Libs incase you are mistaken
Slimy, narrowly conical, brown to tan cap with brownish gills and smooth, off-white stalk; in pastures and manured areas. Bruising blue on margin.
Spore print is purple-brown

Hmm well this stalk is a very dark brown, almost black...
But the other details match.
