so,
the other day i was driving in my car, having quite the shitty day. and out of the blue, i was reminded of this girl i know, and it honestly brightened my day.
so i figured i would send her some flowers with this on the card.
"I thought of you the other day and it just brightened my day, i thought i would try and return the favor"

thats not entirely true. she could be the one percent that are truly a nice girl and want someone who is sweet. the other 99 percent want you to smack them around and jam it in the fart box

She'll think it's creepy and weird unless you two are dating.
It's sad that we live in a society that we can't even do nice random things to people without them thinking that you're a stalker or have an ulterior motive but it's true.

Honestly I agree with this person.
I think it would seem way more "genuine" if you were to just call this girl up and tell her how happy you felt when you thought about her, and that you want to see her/hang out with her cause you miss her.
If you send her flowers she will most likely take it as a sign that you are
hitting on her, or
trying to get with her, or
want to date her, or
have sex with her, or
possibly none/all of the above.
But I know nothing about your relationship with this girl. Do you talk to her often? Are you two close? Have you made out/done it before? Is this a girl you see once a week, or once a month?
I would say unless you are in that weird stage thats in between friends and sexual interest, don't send the flowers. Just call her and talk to her. Maybe save the flower idea for later.

Seriously, send the flowers, but explain what happened like you did in the first post. If she has any sort of grasp on reality, she won't think you're a 'creepy stalker' and hopefully she likes flowers too.

On second thought, don't explain it, just leave your name and let her call you to ask why. Then tell her the story and ask her out. If one of you is seeing someone ask her to lunch. If you are into her and not seeing anyone, ask her to dinner.

If she's any kind of girl I would want to mess with she will think its sweet. I don't know what kind of girls the rest of you are familiar with...
IMO send the flowers and put your name on the card after your message but don't call her or anything. If you call her she will think you are looking to get something out of it. If you just send the flowers and leave it at that it will be on her mind for a long time. If she is in a relationship she will think about it every time she fights with her guy etc. I know most of the people that have posted won't understand this method as it probably doesn't work on your common street whore.

Let's review possible scenarios here -
1. You view her as a friend (no romantic intentions at all) and she views you as a friend (no romantic intentions at all).
2. You view her in a romantic way but she views you in a friendly way.
3. You view her in a friendly way and she views you in a romantic way.
4. You view her in a romantic way and she views you in a romantic way.
What will happen if you send the flowers based on these scenarios -
#1. Even though you had no ulterior motives you will make things weird between you two. She will wonder if you like her more than a friend. It will be awkward.
#2. She will pick up on the fact that you dig her romantically or sexually. She will get creeped out.
#3. You will be filling her head with false impressions. This will end up with her being hurt.
#4. You will look like a total toolbag for not coming out and being a man about your attraction. Women like action, confidence, and experience...not flowers sent to their door.
It's lose-lose all the way around.
