In America, women who are not 100% sub-saharan African are considered "black."
If you were to ask the average person on the street what ethnicity Beyonce is, they would say "black."
I'm not the one who is confused, and I'm not the one in here trying to argue that there is some sort of type of "pure" strain of blackness out there. Africa was made up of tribes with different genetic traits and they were all intermixing several thousand years ago. Light skinned southern Africans from the Serhengetti, dark skinned Congo jungle Africans, tall sea faring africans in East Africa, and Arabic Africans in Egypt and the Northern coast. They all mixed together, and they were all enslaved and brought to America and they mixed with the various ethnicities here and they are all "black."
If you want to say you aren't attracted to dark skinned women that's fine, but saying that a light skinned woman isn't ethnically or socially black isn't accurate.
