Could I possibly dig a hole in the ground in my back yard, fill it with Cow Manure, and inject Golden Teacher spores into various areas of the manure with a hope of some growing? Just a question to throw out there.
yes you could, it is not uncommon to buy horse manure for a mulch layer and end up with mushrooms in the summer; however it is not guaranteed and the harvest would be minor
Sniper, like someone has already said you need spawn. If you can make some Grain spawn, and then get some pasteurized manure and straw and put layer of sub, then spawn, then so on. You may get mushrooms outside if all of the parameters are right.
if they arent already present in that environment then youll need to do a little more than introducing spores to some shit....doesnt mean that it cant happen. but youll need a better strategy. if you are serious about growing outside, google: Azurescens outdoor cultivation ...use the search function here...and as always....do some serious homework!
same concepts apply to cubes except azures like wood. cubes like dung. and oh yeah azures are almost twice as potent...usually... so be careful with that if you dont already know. good luck
