 Chance of finding fellow stoners and psychonauts at a technical college in GA

Well I'm finally about to move out of my parents house and I am looking to go to a technical college for multimedia or web design.
I'm kinda nervous though because I think the chances of finding people with similair interests are slim.
I know this should be the last thing I should be thinking about when selecting a college but hey enjoying life while learning as much about it as I can is my top priority. So for those out in college how hard is it to find people with similar interests?

The impression I get is the technical field, I'm assuming IT type work, has a decent amount of pot heads and psychonauts in it. Not exactly sure why, I assume it's got something to do with us just being more... for lack of a better word, intelligent. Maybe knowledgeable is a better word. Not that we're smarter than other people, but people who are in this field tend to do more fact checking, and just don't tend to listen to propaganda and shit like that. Comes with using the internet alot.

Vocational/trade schools have more students that party because they are the ones that want as little school as possible. Colleges and Universities you would have to be more careful about things even though they also have a lot of cool people.

I'm going to Gainseville State in June, used to go to Oglethorpe University. Not tech schools, but still places of higher learning in the state of Georgia.

I went to a technical college, non state run, and I thought it was great. From what I know I'd say it was a better learning experience than going to a normal college. They had much better equipment, for the most part knowledgeable teachers, and it took me 3/4 the time it would have otherwise.
The only drawback imo is community college would have been cheaper (cost me about 24K iirc), the 'college experience', and most importantly is that the degree doesn't mean as much as a more recognized college perhaps. I don't really see that as a problem in the IT field though. Certifications are just as, if not more important than your degree, and once you get your first job I'd say actual job experience is definitely the #1, and it's not hard to get a low level job in IT considering the economy.

so you guys think the chances of finding stoners is pretty good? I'm still not convinced. I just started smoking weed about 8 months ago so I don't really know how common it is. If you were to give a ratio of people who smoke weed and people who don't at your average college what would it be? I'm hoping it's more common than I think.

I'd say 65% of people at my school blaze... although, it is almost right on the beach. That being said, why is blazing a prerequisite for being a "cool person?"

I'm not saying its a prerequisite. I'm just saying I would rather hang out with people who are chill with smoking cause I can relate to them better.

I find just about everyone is chill with smoking.
I'm a solo smoker now, 100% of my friends don't smoke.
They don't mind though, wouldn't have it any other way... great mates.
Don't exclude people because they don't smoke.
