*edit Newest spore print pic --> http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/7586/15052009760q.jpg
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/6949/14052009757z.jpg Im actually red/green colorblind, but my girlfriend says its deffinately purple.
Been hunting for cubes but cant find any at all. people say that they should grow around here but i cant find a single mushroom that grows out of cow poop. Find heaps of inactives in the fields but nothing in cow poop and nothing that stains blue.
so i went looking in the pine plantations again and found these. http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/7747/14052009746.jpg
http://img365.imageshack.us/img365/9744/14052009747.jpg heres some ohers that i think look promising.

first you should try downsizing your pics cause they're a little hard to see, but from what i can tell you have psilocybe subaeruginosa. just make sure the spore print is purple/brown and make sure they bruise blue. i'd wait and see what other more trusted identifiers have to say but i'm %99 sure those are active subs.

The pics look great to me, very high resolution. Just zoom out if you can't see it because its too big.

I can't see blue staining on any of those, perhaps they are a Hypholoma species?

Are those two older specimens in the last two images the same species as the first ones? I think they might be a Psilocybe species! I agree Alan, the first ones look like a Hypholoma species! inski.

How long did you have the caps printing for? The prints don't look to dark.

Id be pretty sure the second two would be subs, not 100% though but they look right, first two look too small to be subs though. I would reckon it be too cold to find cubes up here at this time of year, but maybe with wet spring or autumn it could be a possibility.

I don't think there are any cubes growing in Victoria at all, no matter at what time of year.

they dont seem to be bruising blue, but when i pickd the larger ones ther was a kind of blue residue on the stems, kind of powdery.
I just showed the pics to a friend of mine and he says they are the right ones that he used to pick. i guess im gonna eat some and see what happens

You can see the blue bruising on the first spore print picture, they're subs EDIT: I'm referring to the two larger ones, the smaller ones have strange coloured caps so I'm not sure, the stems and gills on them look perfect though so

yeah, im not 100% sure these are subs. are the stems tough, or are they flimsy and easy to break?
