I'm in such a shitty mood right now, just letting everything digest. I came home a little late today, and my wife and I started cleaning out the house and throwing out trash. I walked outside to toss another trash bag in the trash, and as soon as I open my door... 9 cop cars rush into my front yard, all fast and serious. I was stunned, but turned around to yell through the door that the cops were here to my wife. I didn't have time though, as soon as I turned, someone jumped out with a gun and said, "DOWN ON THE GROUND!"
I laid there, they cuffed me, and started pouring through my house with gloves and all, seriously combing over everything. My wife and I were textbook the whole time, never said a word that we didn't need to say, never self incriminated, none of that. They got a bowl of seeds and stems, and got some paraphernalia, and that's it. It looked like they expected to find so much more. I lost my cell phone, so they couldn't go through it or take numbers from it, luckily.
Then they asked me if they could search my car. I realized that the reason they asked was the new supreme court ruling. I of course had nothing in my car, but I just wanted to exercise the little power I did have and I then said, "Nope. New supreme court ruling, I'm sure you've heard." And they were like, "Fine, we'll just get the dog out on it." The dog alerted on my car, probably because they used a stupid alert trick thing, and they found nothing at all in it, unsurprisingly. I laughed a little, and started talking to him about how there is no way the dog alerted, and accused him of making the dog alert. I cited cases in the past where court certified dogs were trained to alert, and he was arguing with me over it... and then the most senior officer yelled from another room, "Stop talking right now, he's getting information from you that he doesnt need to have."
I smiled, "Sorry to have gotten you in trouble officer" and the guy took on this very fake tough guy look.
Apparently they had a warrant, brought both my wife and I to jail, and we just bonded out.
I have no idea how they got a warrant on us or why, but they seriously had my lot PACKED with cops because of a bowl of seeds and stems.
Update: So many people have come out in support of me in real life and, even moreso, on this forum. I am amazed at the outpouring of support I have received, and both my wife and I are enormously thankful. At the request of others, we have set up a donation link for our legal defense fund.

Alright everybody, I love you. You have all been family to me, and I hope that I can fight this and come out ahead. I will survive, and I've got help and support from ALL of my family here on shroomery, and in real life. More people have come out to support my wife and I than I ever could have expected. It seriously nearly brings me, a grown man, to tears. I'm not afraid anymore, and I think I've at least got some outs. I need to fight so that my life is not ruined, so that's exactly what I'm going to do. I will keep everyone here at shroomery constantly updated, and I am also going to take the advice of these people above and the advice of the people who have sent me PMs and set up a donate button.
I did not come here and tell this story expecting anything from anybody, and yet so many have been so generous to offer us support in so many ways. For those of you that feel like you want to help, I have made a donation link:

Update: Somebody out there is a truly amazing person. I want to know who you are, just so I can shower you with respect and admiration. You have done so much for me, to the point that I am in awe at how a human being out there could possibly be so kind. I will fight this for all of you who have sent me help, admiration, and respect, and I will not only fight my own battle, but I will take part in fighting your battle alongside you in this war against a senseless policy that ruins the livelihoods of nearly a million people a year in our country. With 20,000,000 marijuana arrests and counting, with an up and coming generation that has smoked marijuana at 56.7%, with the science on our side, this is a fight we CAN win.
Likewise, with all of you on my side, with people like the person who just donated so much to me on my side, this is a fight that I feel like I can win.
The donation amount I just received was 700 dollars. I am contacting all of the NORML lawyers right now letting them know what has been done for me, and trying to find out what they can likewise do for me... in hopes that eventually, I can do something in return for all of them, all of you.

I was at my buddies house when a search warrant was served...
Sketchy shit, he had a little weed plant growing but he fucking yanked it out and threw it off his balcony into a tree top.
We had just finished blazing. One cap asked if I was high, I honestly admitted to it and showed him where the apple pipe was but I told him we finished the bud. (which was actually true)
It was chill they didn't do anything about being high or having paraphernalia. The only time that's ever happened to me with the stuck up cops we got around here.
It was about fucking a chick under 18 though... they were looking for a video camera the chick thought she was being fucking taped... such bullshit. The slut wanted the cock too. Never said how old she was, got boned, went home, got emotional to mom and daddy, called the cops.
You all know me, I'm no detriment to society. I perform my roll very well, and I am well educated to boot. Yet for some reason they feel it proper to waste taxpayer dollars rushing into my yard with a shit ton of cops over a bowl of seeds and stems. I promise guys, I'm not involved in anything deeper than some good old fashioned marijuana smoking and occasional tripping. Now I'm probably going to lose my student loans. Its a first offense marijuana possession charge, but I already completed a diversion program on a paraphernalia charge a few months ago, so this IS going to be on my record.
Oh, and they also found two lortabs that I don't know WHERE they came from. I think they were my moms when she stayed with us for a week and kept her stuff in my drawer. I don't know whats going to happen with that. I told them I didnt know what they were. They were very aged looking.
wow, wtf? On the bright side if you don't have any priors you can always get a lawyer and have the charges reduced to use, if your state is anything like MI though it sucks because you lose your license for a year.
Do you think the raid had anything to do with your online activity, or do your suspicions lie in the real world?

If you can prove that those lortabs were in fact your mom's, I don't see why you wont be able to get that charge dropped. (However I think there is a law about having them in that orange medicine bottle)

Could have been. I'm a vocal marijuana activist, both online and in my town, even though its conservative as hell here. They tried to check my wife and I's computer, but none of them knew how to use macs, lol. It was hilarious watching these cops try to open all these programs and stuff.

They were not in the medicine bottle, they were loose in the end of the cabinet. I seriously had no idea they were there. They are on a script though for her.
