 Idea for making some cash of cigarettes

Been checking out the online cig dealers for a bit here, and you seem to be able to get all the big brands for ridiculously cheap prices in the states for euro manufactured smokes. Thinking about turning that into profit by selling off packs for 4 bucks(since they are about 5.50 here atm) and paying 20 bucks a carton after shipping. Seems as though it could be too good to be true though. I am thinking there may be some hidden taxes there somewhere since that's why they are so spendy in the first place. Any thoughts or facts on this would be great. Here's is the link for the site I'm most closely looking at.

That website seems to ship from the UK, which may result in import duty/taxes due for the product once it arrives in US customs. Tobacco is a regulated product, and it is probably not legal to import above a certain quantity without a license and payment of the applicable federal and state taxes.

Cigarette smuggling is a huge blackmarket business. And carries some serious legal penalties if caught... Even buying cigarettes in one state and selling them in another high-tax state is a big deal.

Yeah, it can't be in any way legal if the intention is to resell em. Although I wonder whether or now you would be able to ship em in without paying the duty tax though. From what I was reading it seems as though you can ship in a couple cartons without having to pay the taxes on it. Gonna have to look into it a bit more. Wasn't thinking about ordering a shitload or anything, just enough so I could smoke for free, haha.

dude electronic cigarettes are the only way to go. clean nicotine is like crack for kids! no joke though.

Ciggies here are about 3 dollars for 20 quality cigs. You should look into importing from L. America rather than Europe. L. America has a lot of traffic from and to the US, so if you start searching I'm sure you could find someone willing to help.
If your serious about this start finding out where the ciggies you want to market are made. If your looking for english ovals or something made in europe then obviously finding someone from L. America won't help. BUT many, many ciggies are produced in the west (smoke is less harsh, very different taste). So, find out what ciggies you want to market and find out where they are made.
After you find the production country find the site that deals with frequent US travellers or expats in that country.
That said, another option is to pack the ciggies yourself. It would avoid alot of problems.
As someone else said, black market ciggies are a big market in the US and alot of people get into big problems by getting caught. The way tabbaco is going you won't get any help from a court or judge if you should get caught and the only outcome I am seeing is that tobacco is going to be more and more "devilised". WHATTHEFXUPUP and the like is how everyone sees ciggies now adays.
Not to mention that but, tax evasion.
Be sure what your getting yourself into and know who your selling into, just because your selling legal product will not make Uncle Sam sodomize you any smoother.

cigs were cheap here in Kentucky like six months ago they were around 3.33 for Marlboro Lights but now they are almost 5 bucks a pack.

Or you could just dig a tunnel and smuggle them in from mexico.
