Hello,
Wondering if I could get an id of this mushroom I've come across. I've only just started reading a bit about mushrooms and its all very interesting, I had no idea what a spore print was until a few days ago. Good to learn about fungi growth as well. No bluing has given me doubts on this one. Sorry pics aren't the best. Ahh on to the description I guess
Habitat: Wood chips, was in a garden bed under a shrub, was by itself although there were a couple other ones around a foot away not clumped. Gills: Colour - Were light brown when picked and have since turned a little bit darker I think. Form - They are not attached to the stem, fairly closely spaced. Stem: Diameter - 5-7mm. Length - 4-5cm. Colour - white Cap: Diameter - 1.7-2.0cm, Colour - Brown/Caramel Spore print: Grayish/brown, more gray/black than brown though. Bruising: No colour change. Picked in south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Welcome... those things will prove to be a pest for you... stropharia aurantiaca... or more commonly known as strophs, grow everywhere. there is usually at least 10+ more strophs than subaeruginosa in the area. they are inactive, and actually mildly poisonous. well done for wanting to learn about fungi... and well done on this find.
if your finding strophs, or any other mushroom infact, your in the right place. look out for these though... always make sure they bruise blue & have a purple brown spore print... keep trying... trust me you will find some subs at some stage.. good luck..
