Hi everyone, I tried to post this the other day but the photos didn't go with. Better luck this time eh?
Does anyone know if these mushrooms are the real thing(two photos attached - I hope!)?
I found them in soil growing under some other plants in Montenegro (South East Europe) in April.

Nothing is attached. Click on "pics" right next to "account". Then hit "upload" and choose the right image files. Once they are uploaded, you will see a link underneath the pic. Copy that and paste it into your post and your picture will show.

From the location I can't really say. The pics also don't show any details. A small picture of a whole pile of mushrooms isn't too good. You want single specimen and details of it. The one in the center with the white gills is definitely bunk. The ones you are hunting for don't have white gills.

I had a look at lots of photos on the internet before I posted this and I couldn't decide whether they were real or not either. They're dried up now otherwise I would take some more photos of individual shrooms and post those instead. Maybe it's best to throw them away rather than try them?

Well, what Psilocybe species were you hunting for? P. serbica, P. bohemica, P. moravica?

Sure. The first thing you want to do is to find out what magic mushrooms can be found where you are. There is no sense in looking for shrooms that won't grow in your climate zone.
