Question about different pinning from same syringe....

Ok first grow, BRF cakes,Koi Samui Super Strain from Hawkseye, shotgun FC, 11 days into fruiting, here are pics of the first cake to pin, from start to know:, and here is the second cake to pin, just showed 2 days ago:, same sort of pinning, so the other 2 cakes just showed pins today and they look totally different, they are coming from the top of the cakes where the others pinned at the sides towards the bottom:, so why are the pins different? And do the little shrooms on the first cake look ok? Thanks.....

Looks like you might have gotten a different species? The last two look like cubes I've seen- the first three don't.
I know that's not much help, sorry.

All the cakes where done at the same time in the same batch and have been together the whole time. All are exactly the same...so a multi-spore syringe from the Hawkseye, would not have believed that....and to think that they might not be cubes...well just sucks

Ya I'd go get an id on those, there's some nasty mushrooms out there that you do NOT want to munch on.

He's got a thread started. Alan or somebody will come along and ID them pretty soon, I guess.
@razor_ridge: Good job on the pics, that'll make it a lot easier.

they r the same thing and probably some how ended up getting pretty wet where ever they were there was a thread about some 1 thinking they had albinos growing from a regular spore syringe but it turned out to be some kind of negligence to those particular shrooms.

The first three pics are a contaminant species, not cubes. Pay closer attention to sterile procedure next time. There's entirely too many people who don't take the effort to build a glovebox or use a flame to sterilize the needle between each jar. I'm not saying you didn't, but that's how these things happen. You might also check your verm filter procedure. If you handle the jars, the verm filter slips and contaminants can easily get in to your substrate. RR

He means it's not cubensis. If it's not the target species, it's a contaminant species.
Cube spores won't grow poisonous mushrooms any more than your cat can have puppies.
