I've only ever tripped on shrooms once, two years ago, and they were shrooms that looked way different than this. So I don't have much experience with them.
Anyways, I bought some shrooms from this guy just for the hell of it. He said that they were so wet a day or two before that they were huge, but that he "dried them properly". The shrooms feel kind of like store bought mushrooms, they're not really dry feeling.
Anyways, within 24 hours the stalks started turning black. Here's some pics.

So... still good to eat? Any idea on how to prep to make them better or whatever? The guy seemed kind of full of shit, told me that wet shrooms and dry shrooms did the same thing weight for weight (i.e. a gram of super wet shrooms and a gram of super dry shrooms will get you tripping just the same), which sounds like a load of crock (you can't dilute something and get the same effect).

Yea, he failed to dry them properly, but they are still good. You can put them in tea, eat them, whatever. The blackish/blue stuff is bruising, which is normal
He probably kept them wet so they weighed more. Also left some chunks of substrate on the stems.
Anyways, they are still good to eat, just wash off the poo or vermiculite, whatever that is. Have fun

that guy is full of shit with the wet vs. dry thing
tripping on 35 grams of wet shrooms is like tripping on 3.5 grams of dry
personally, cuz the guy is an idiot and the shrooms dont look right, i would toss em
if you do eat them then i wish you the best of luck though

So I was looking around for some tips on cooking or preserving, and came across this page on extracting: http://www.magic-mushrooms.net/extractingfrom.htm
But I also searched the forums and read you can just boil the shrooms and strain the plant matter, the water will have the psychoactive ingredients.
So which way would be best? For what I have here (would it be a bad thing to eat it all at once?) I'm thinking extract the good stuff and make some ramen (I hate the taste of mushrooms unless they're sauteed and on an omelet).

Do the tea method. Find a tek though, because you don't want to boil the potency out of your shrooms.
By the way those are the ugliest, nastiest looking mushrooms I have ever seen sold to a human being.

Bullshit. They are good to eat. If you are not going to eat them immediately, you have to dry them out properly asap, though, or they'll rot.
I wouldn't buy from this person again, though. He's an amateur cretin or he wouldn't claim that these had been dried out properly.

Mushrooms are roughly 90% wet weight and 10% dry weight. Thus, a 20 gram fresh mushroom, if dried, would end up weighing in at about 2.0 grams. The guy you bought them from ripped you off and is also a shit stain for failing to dry product, which could result in food poisoning if they go bad (which they will in a week or two, tops)

Dude, go get your money back. That's some fucked up shit to have someone sell you that crap.
They're good to eat, but that way they're HELLA nasty to eat.
And someone mentioned that tripping on 35 wet grams is the same as 3.5 dry grams... I'd have to state that mushrooms do lose some potency during the drying stage, how much I wouldn't know it probably varies on a case by case basis depending on the mushroom, along with the 10% dry weight vs wet weight... usually I get about 8%.
