Cacti: Producing the Most Mescaline

My recent experience with mescaline convinced me that 1)I love cacti so much 2)I will grow them for the rest of my life 3)I need to find the best way to produce enough mescaline for myself and my friends because I want to share the love.
As some of you may remember, I found a beautiful San Pedro cluster (right word?) at Home Depot for $20. I harvested what I assume was a mid-range dose from the right cactus and left a good 3in for pupping fun.
I'm looking at this from an economical viewpoint, and I really want to avoid paying around $20 for a dose of mescaline. I'm thinking I want to be able to do it with friends, which would skyrocket the price for just three people and would mean that I would have to butcher nearly an entire cactus per dose. And because I will be going to a college that is sure to have students interested in the glorious joy that is mescaline, I want to be able to share with them as well.
So now I'm checking out Trichocereus Bridgesii, which I hear is a more potent member of the San Pedro's family. I'm checking sponsers and auction sites and Bridgesii can be found for decent prices, sometimes less than that of the Pedro. Dried forms of any Trichocereus seem to be somewhat rare for online purchase, but because I plan on performing chemical extractions, I'll need the stuff in a powdered form anyway.
Am I going about this the wrong way? I know we ethnobotanists hate to harm our spiney friends, but it looks like I don't have much of a choice. Is Bridgesii all its cracked up to be? I've heard reports of its rapid growth, and that looks like a plus from my angle. Does anyone have experience with it?

Hmmm... what kinda timeline? How much space you got to work with?
You realize you couldnt get a goood rotation untill the 3rd or 4th year, right?
EDIT: and why are you intent on doing extractions?

Yeah, that's exactly my problem. I plan on starting a gardening/ethnobotany club at my college, and will probably set up some greenhouses, but any return on cacti will take far too long, really. Additionally, I doubt I'll live in one place for more than a couple years until I am much older (10-15 years from now). I can always take my potted plants with me, as I already plan on doing, but that still will prevent my from having a solid rotation as you said. I won't have much space to work with over the next five years or so either, unless I start the aforementioned club.
So I've got some issues mmhmm

Go do a stealth grow in the woods :p
I've often thought of making wild patches of trichs, just to make the world a cooler place.

Being a Johnny Cactuseed sounds cool, and I live in the proper climate for it. I suppose what I need though is an economical way to keep myself stocked in mescaline while my pets are growing.

bridgesii is known to be more consitantly potent than other trichs, that is not to say that you wont find potent clones of other trichs.
post in the chem forum if you want to talk about extractions and such, if you don't have access to that forum yet then just be patient. the ethnogarden is for the discussion of growing plants not eating or performing extractions on them.

I've thought the EXACT thing, I'm going to plant all of my useless small cuttings in the reserve near me and check up on them every few years .
OP, if I were you, I'd get all your and your friends' money together, buy a bunch of cuttings of a few different types and let them grow for atleast 2 or 3 years, then perhaps harvest a little bit from that point. It might cost a bit more than seeds but its a much quicker start. Good luck

i can move this for you if you want, rather than making a new thread. i'm not sure of the chem forum restrictions, so i didn't move it before.

I suppose I am asking multiple questions here. There are some relevant to this forum. I'll start a new thread in that forum for chemistry related questions if I still think I need to. I'll keep extraction talk over there.

The most proper spot would be like their native habitat... a rough cliff side that wouldnt be messed with by people. Get 3 species in close proximity, and let nature run through the ages.

Get skins and do extractions. Why spend all that time cutting up cacti you've grown fond of?

Do you mean the skins of any of the hallucinogenic cacti? I've never seen skins for sale, and I thought that the flesh of the cactus contained the most mescaline... I'll look around.
EDIT: Ok, I see some European vendors that sell skins. 25mg for $20... information on dried skins and their dosage is scant. I'll try to figure that out too.

The only problem is if he's like many of us, he'll just end up planting every single one of them instead of extractions or tea. Dry skin ftw!

Just start slowly, get a pedro here, a bridgesii there, soon (in some years) you'll have bushes of cacti. Gotta be a bit patient here.

25mg for $20. Thats down right rape. No man don't do that. I can get 1.75 kilos for around $150. I'm not giving out my source though. So no PMs from anyone about it mkay?
Keep looking. They are native to South America btw. Thats where the good prices are.
