I love my college experience. I keep myself as far away from greek culture, sports and parties as I can. I go for the academics and thats what I enjoy.

I'm strictly business until night time, i study alll day (and lurk the shroomery and other sites). Then it's time to unwind and let the weed enhance my mind.

Science FTW.
I'll have a BS in chemistry in 3 semesters. For grad school, I can get full tuition paid PLUS living expenses at schools all over the country. Have my PhD in 5 years, and then figure out some sort of real job 
Can't wait to get to start doing my own research. My school has an awesome undergraduate research program, I get to start working on my own projects next fall.
College is awesome. I thought it kind of sucked at first, but as I get into higher level classes and focus more on my academics, it only gets better.

I find it sad that you are hating college because one other group bothers you. Get over it. you only get what you put into it. Find a better bar that suits you, or different house party, if that bothers you throw your own house party and invite people you like..problem solved.
college has been the best time in my life thus far. And i feel sad that im leaving it next year.

I love my college experience. Im in the greek system, I play sports, who doesnt like to party (relatively speaking) and I love academics (its a top business school) thats what I enjoy.
and no im not a jock, never been in a fight, never been paddled or stupid stereotypical shit everyone has about greeks. just throwin that out there.

Its so weird how I went from absolutely hating high school, to looking forward to going to class at college.
So many different people, class is more laid back, and you can actually choose what you want to do.
I'm not so into the parting. I party plenty at festivals and other outings, I just dont find it constructive to meld that with my academics.
The only reason anybody would feel dissappoitned is because of expectations you get from other people. Those other people arent you and dont value the same things you do.

honestly, it sounds like you should have/should still take some time off before going back to school.
i took a few years off to travel and generally fuck around. when i went back to university, i was ready to actually learn, was excited about what i was studying, etc.
at the end of the day, more people at my school are probably where i was some years ago than where i am today (age is probably a big factor in this, when i was 20 i knew i was invincible and just wanted to rage), but fuck it, i'm there for an education.

drink tuesday-saturday
go to class for a few hours everyday, but never on friday
trade that for my 9-5 without a blink

other than some of my friends from high school I've only made a few friends at college, mostly nerdy stoners like myself that like to get ripped and watch the science channel.
I don't really fit into my school but it doesn't bug me cause I get to sit back and watch peoples fuck ups left and right. Whereas I blaze non stop and get mostly As....
pretty much if you dont drink and abuse every script you can think of your not one of the group here so it seems.
I'm glad im done for the year and up in the mountains

I like school and learning in general. Increasing my knowledge base is a great way to spend time in my opinion. I mean I could just let my brain rot like many people but nah I will pass. I do have a crazy amount of homework each week but that is a given with engineering.
Of course there is the people aspect. I don't talk much throughout the weekdays these days. Say a few words here and there to random people then just come home and do homework by myself. Especially since my computer is broken I study a lot more. I sort of don't want to buy a new computer for a while now.

Maybe its just my school...north dakota is full of red necks. The weed policy is rediculous(caught once your outta the dorms) and the law for weed in this state is pretty bad too. I think there are other factors as well. The fact that i had more freedom at my own house doesnt make it any easier to asdjust to this place. I need my own place, and new people, and a new enviroment. Then I think I will enjoy it!
I have found some people i enjoy. Sorry for bumping this thread but i didnt get a chance to reply.

seriously, dawgy, love while you can still live it. I keep trying to work my way back, but it seems with each passing day it gets harder and harder to reorient myself in that direction. damn, I hope I make it back.
