The begginnings of psychosis/schizophrenia? Or Sleep Paralysis?

Ok well last night I woke up at 4 in the morning and my dad was there in my room but i could have sworn i was awake when he was just there... He started hitting me because i had done something wrong (can't remember what off the top of my head) then i rolled over in fear and when i turned around he wasn't there. This didn't feel like any of my other sleep paralysis (wasn't paralyzed or dreamy) experiences but i would have written it off like that but there wwas more.
I had three other instances before getting back to sleep like my cat coming and sleeping with me. Then turning round and there was nothing there. All of these while fully conscious (didn't feel dreamlike). This all followed doing ketamine three days in a row which I would never normally do but I had been in an incredibly apathetic state the day before the likes of which I've never experienced.
Should I give up all drugs or just NMDA agonists? What do you think? Anyone experienced anythiing similar?

I've had insanely vivid sleep paralysis episodes in which it was really hard to determine what had actually happened at first. Since it always happens to you in proximity to sleep, I'd say its just that. If those things happened to you in the middle of the day or something, then I'd be worried.

I would say that but i wasn't paralyzed at all at the time and it didn't feel like i was dreamy at all, whenever I've had it before i've had the feeling of being a little bit out of it, this time i just felt sober.

Maybe you should take a break and see a doctor, or just wait to see if it persists. You've been playing with your brain after all.

Ok you say that you didn't feel dreamy.. but it was a dream, right? After you saw your dad you opened your eyes and woke up, or did you actually see him after you were awake?
I had a similar thing happen to me this morning - I was having a fight with my brother and then he started fading away and I realized I had only dreamed it, but I felt this terrible feeling inside of me like something was trying to escape out of me. Then I had a dream that I was in some sort of game world where all my family and friends were fighting to the death and it was really scary.

Try not to worry, I've had similar experiences in which the dream was so real that I thought I was awake and sometimes it was followed or during sleep paralysis. I would think more about the meaning of the dream, as it could reflect some unresolved issues that are starting to surface. Nothing to worry about thigh, worrying makes you see things in an unreal light.

Here my heart knows calm
Safe in your soul

Yeh it's just that I continued to have halluctinations occasionally for about 15 minutes after the original event.

Yeh, I'm probably just spinning myself out if it continues I'll probably start to worry. Though I will never in my life see another psychiatrist, they don't now jack about mental health. The meaning was pretty blatent because my dad was beating the crap outta me.
Cheers for the advice guys!

I get quite prominent hypnagogia. I see shapes, objects on the back of my eyes and then I can actually vividly see entire landscapes. I also hear stuff, completely random and involuntary sounds and voices.
I occassionally wake up, sit up and stare at things in my room. Sometimes I'm staring at these objects because something has happened in a dream to draw my attention to them. Sometimes I can't understand where I am or whats going on. Other times I am staring at objects because they look like other things, like animals staring at me. The most vivid time I was staying at a friends, five of us in a room. I woke up and sat up and saw someone kneeling over my legs on all fours. I said "what the fuck", and they faded in front of my eyes.
None of this stuff ever happens when I'm not sleeping, waking up or falling asleep.
I'd be lying if I said it hasn't worried me at all but I reckon neither of us are schizophrenic. Trip on.

first of all you havent been trying to change your thinking habits have you... if you have it is natural for wierd stuff to eventually happen and it should not be confused with the normal diagnosis of psychosis or whatever... unless of course you cant handle it

I once had a dead, bloated, half rotted cat jump in my lap, crawling with maggots, lying there cold and purring expecting to be petted.
It was my first cat that had been dead for years, what can you do? I petted its cold, slimy, sticky remnants of flesh and it purred louder, after a few minutes it jumped off my lap and vanished in mid air.
People like deCypher will recognize it for what it is: Atropia, a dreamstate after taking Datura.
Grapefruit, lay off the Ketamine for a good while, It seems it has a role here.

I hear you talk about ketamine alot, i'd suggest a break...
One of my best friends whose done every drug under the sun once told me 'if i ever catch you even trying ketamine i will punch you in the face'
I have dreams all the time that feel extermely real, being mauled by tigers, burning alive, but i don't think of any of it as worth any concern. As when i wake up i realize it was a dream, sometimes even in the dream i realize its a dream. I also get sleep paralasis where im awake but my body is in deep sleep, completely paralyzed. But i still don't think these things are issues that need to be dealt with, if i was doing K however i would think its a totally separate issue to be dealt with.
Just cause people come in this thread & says its ok they're just dreams, doesn't mean everythings alright its okay to keep doing K, sorry but i just gotta say that dude...

I've had some pretty intense lucid dreams/OBE's where it goes in these weird cycles like.. I'll be dreaming then go into a sort of lucid dream where I realize I'm dreaming, which usually shocks me [I usually only have nightmares]and I will try to wake up and I'll move or sit up and think I'm awake, but I'm not and I go into a sort of out of body experience vs. a lucid dream. Then once I realize things arent normal I'll try to wake myself up again and end up slipping back into a lucid dream. Eventually I'll be able to wake up, and sometimes once I do I'll have 'astral bleeding' where whatever I was seeing in the other realm before I woke up is still there and then just slowly fades away. Sometimes it's objects, sometimes its people/entitys...
I've had that go in cycles of like 6-8 lucid dreams/OBEs before I'm actually able to wake up, in which case I wont go back to sleep because I'm afraid of it happening again.
Maybe your situation is something like that? I'm not exactly sure of the relation it has to drug use, but I would say its probably relevant.

Yeh, I'm gonna lay off it and not do it more than 6 times a year now I hope. I've had weird sleep paralysis like a shaman casting a magical healing rain cloud over me at the foot of my bed and one other, this felt nothing like those experiences though. I was consciously delusional.
