A substitute teacher is accused of smoking marijuana with a Green Oaks High School student while the 16-year-old boy was an overnight guest at the 25-year-old man’s home, according to the Caddo sheriff’s office.
Jordano Maxie, of Shreveport, was issued a misdemeanor summons Friday charging him with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, which stemmed from the incident that allegedly occurred at Maxie’s residence in the 1600 block of Fullerton.
The 16-year-old spent the night without his parent’s knowledge, according to a sheriff's office news release. No sexual misconduct is suspected, said Cindy Chadwick, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman.
Sgt. Mickey McDaniel, of the sheriff’s Youth Services Division, launched an investigation after being contacted by the Caddo School Board. It was not immediately known how the School Board became aware or when the incident is said to have occurred.
Maxie was issued a summons, which is the same as being arrested minus being booked into jail. Sheriff’s deputies can opt to issue a summons at their discretion, said Sgt, Sam Hall, of the Youth Services Division.
“We know who he is, we know how to find him, he came in for his interview when we asked and he was completely honest,” said Hall, explaining why Maxie was not booked into Caddo Correctional Center.

That sucks. I guarantee the 16 year old told all his friends about how cool he is for smoking with a teacher, and then one thing leads to another...
