Recommendation(s) for cultivation in a garden. Gourmet/Medicinal only please.

Hello everybody,
My friend is starting a garden and would love to have gourmet/medicinal mushrooms growing in it as well.
He'll be mixing in yard compost and cow manure.
Does anybody know of any good species that would grow well in a typical garden?
I know some actives would be good, like Pan subbs, but he doesn't want actives. Only gourmet/medicinal.
Any recommendations on some tasty fungi?
Thanks all!

Many of the better edibles won't actually be fruiting when your friend is harvesting vegetables, unless he's growing up through the fall. Good choices would be:
King stropharia Elm oyster Shaggy mane Agaricus spp.
I'm growing the first two in garden beds myself. Elm oysters aren't fruiting in my tomato beds at the moment, but the plants are going crazy. I'm having to stake up branches to support all of the fruits coming in!

I'm currently looking for cultures of the following species:
Calocybe indica, Chlorophyllum rachodes, Lentinula boryana, Polyporus umbellatus

In my garden this year i am growing: Stropharia rugoso-annulata (partnering with corn), Hypsizygus ulmarius (partnering with brassicas)and Lepista nuda (in the compost pile and partnering with perennials).
Stropharia rugoso-annulata and Lepista nuda i'm hoping to turn into perennial cultures by keeping a heavy organic mulch layer (which i try to do anyway, for all my beds.) There is good info on mushroom/plant polycultures in Mycelium running by Paul Stamets... if your local library doesn't have it you can almost certainly get it though interlibrary loan, i did.
I can trade you slants of all of these, but they wont be ready for a week or so. PM me if you are interested.
-------------------- My trade list ∞Ω Currently not doing much trading, but if you are interested in something off my list feel free to hit me up.

Awesome.
I think I'll do: Coprinus comatus Stropharia rugoso-annulata Coprinus comatus
Now that I look at fungi's page more I see that the three I listed are also available as the "Three Amigos" garden pack. It's good that they all compliment each other too. I was going to ask if they "get along" but the website answered my question.
Thanks for the replies! I'll be sure to post pictures of the garden at some point.
