 Needle PC Question

I want to sterile my needles for the first time in a PC
Do i just fill needles with water, rap them in tin foil... then PC at 15psi for 90 in?
and if i need needles not full of water can i PC them just in tinfoil?

fill them with some water and some air (I use half the syringe-1/4 water 1/4 air) wrap in foil or put in jar. When you remove them they will be empty-IME.
30 min should be fine for needles.

Word, I need to know this also. Just got my new 23qt. presto. Ive heard 2 different way: Fill w/ water and PC in an open jar so that the needle is upright (or) PC needle down in a qt jar with the needle tip submerged in some water. Dont know which one to use tho...

wow really, now how do i set up the needle so it has strile water in it? or do i just boil some and put it in after?

Are you guys going to be using them to make spore syringes? Ive never PC'd my syringes and have never had any contaminated syringes. Just boil water, suck it up in the syringe, let it sit for a few seconds, discharge it out of the syringe into the sink, repeat the process 3 times, on the 4th time suck up the boiling water, then cap the syringe. let it cool and add the spores however you usually do. Ive never once had a problem.

Just take tap water and fill then fill with air. When you pc you will sterilize it so the initial water doesn't need to be sterilized.
I remove the needle and scabbard, place them in a .5pint with lid (no holes) to keep sterile until use. For the barrel I pc wrapped in foil plunger side up in a pint jar just to make it easy to remove. You could just wrap in foil and set it on the bottom rack of your PC.
Didn't read your response clearly, just suck up boiling water and cap after it's sterilized.

Yeah its much easier to just use boiling water instead of worrying about pc'ing and whatnot. I do what Iskin does and haven't had a contam problem.

I haven't had problems with that method either, it's just I run my pc almost every day so I just toss the used syringes in with that days batch. This hobby is more about personal preference than standardized procedures. Cubes are very hearty and can be grown in many ways.

That's how I made my first syringes. During the process I stubed myself in the finger through the latex glove, bled on the print, made two syringes and still got 6 perfect jars out of them. It's hard to fuck up a syringe.

hahahah. Yeah, i stabbed myself through my glove on my very first inoculation ever. Still got all 8 jars out of it. lol.
