Cubensis senescence

I've been experiencing senescence first hand with some old malabar spawn. It has been through probably 5-6 G2G transfers. It is past the 3month lifespan. Now all of the straw logs I have been making with the spawn have been getting green mold post-colonization and the mycellium in the newly transferred bags/jars has stopped growing and bacteria took over.
What I want to know is if the mold and bacteria are there because of the senescenced mycellium not being able to hold it back or because of contams making their way in because of the many transfers or some other vector?
-------------------- Evolution is Lamarckism in disguise. Adaptation never creates a new species or trait, but rather the new species/trait always existed within the parent DNA until circumstances allowed it to be activated. For instance, every wolf has the DNA for poodles, but that DNA would never be revealed without man selectively breeding for it.

I stay away from g2g transfers but I remember hearing that 3 is the magic number with them (like everything else in the universe lol). Contaminants are always existent to some degree, even on the first set of jars. They multiply over the first go around and then you transfer them. Definitely by the 5th or 6th go around, cubensis would most definitely lose the race to whatever contaminants are present. I personally like to get a monoculture on a few agar plates, then use the agar to make 10 or so lc jars that can then turn into 100 lc jars. Then I have clean culture for thousands and thousands of jars. I've never had as much success with g2g transfers as I have with bulk lc.

One day, God created LSD through the intercession of blessed Albert Hoffman. This powerful sacrament then went on to enlighten mankind, even the president of america. This ushered in an age of spiritual unity and peace. This allowed for mankind to reach it's full potential including immortality and intergalactic exploration and habitation. Thanks, God.
