I know this seems very simple, but I'm just looking for some numbers to back up something that I'm talking about.

Well the point of the poll is to see if people would ever of had the chance, or likely would of ever cultivated their own mushrooms prior to trying it from the streets.
I ask this because there is this anti-dealer mentality that I come across here on the shroomery, and I completely agree that those activities should not be discussed here. But its not to say that people who deal are scum. Without those dealers I believe that the majority of all people who ever cultivated, would never had done it without tripping. Why blame someone who is filling a demand and spreading such a great experience? Yeah money sucks, but dealing is a risk, and money is the motivating factor through that risk. Rather than dislike dealers, why not dislike the prohibition against mushrooms?

first time was with friends and some kool-aid/shroom concoction. i remember feeling the effects coming on, and at some point later in time i found myself talking to a plant in the backyard.

Yeah you're right. I should have added that... since my concern is if you got it from a dealer/connection etc, just put that you cultivated it if you hunted for it.

My friend was posted up in a hotel for business over in the city (San Fran).
He decided to go on a walk through GGP, called me up later that night and let me know that i had a present coming to me when he got back.

Fuckin Blues Fest baby!
We met some crazy mother-fucker who smoked a joint with us and dished out 9 grams for 40 bucks. He wouldnt stop eating his stash so we had to part ways. That old man was gonna get us busted if we stuck around.

I got mine through a friend/acquaintance in high school. Then I got busted with them in school before I could eat them. It was horrible.

They told me someone said I was selling heroin. They believed them so I got searched and arrested. I was so angry. At the time I couldn't even get heroin. I could barley get weed. They still let me graduate though. It was like 2 weeks before graduation.

me and my brother went looking for some pot with our allowanc money at about 13 or 14 years old. Ended up with 1/8 of shrooms. Was WAY to young, but it was a fun time.

Interesting poll. I see I'm in the minority in each case. I grew my own based on teks gleaned from the shroomery, and had never done mushrooms before cultivating my own.
I had smoked weed (but way back in college and a while thereafter), done some minor amounts of coke, and maybe 4 lifetime hits of acid, and one of ALD-52 (Orange Sunshine, 1970).
Salvia, bleh...Shrooms are cool, but DMT is the apex psychedelic, and my favorite (so far).
