the thought actually crossed my mind just now, and i have no one else to ask, but... the whole dark side of the moon and wizard of oz thing...
is it true that it was intended to line up perfeclty to the movie or was it just a rumor that was never confirmed cus i've heard both sides of the argument, and i'm positive someone knows the answer to this here.

I think it was just a cool coincidence. One time I put on Boards of Canada - Geogaddi while watching Fantasia 2000 and it synced up almost perfectly.

Yeah, you can do it to almost anything. When we were little we used to put on Cypress Hill against the Fantastic Four... looked like those dudes were rapping about weed while fighting bad guys and shit! fucking classic!
But if Pink Floyd did intend to sync up the album with the movie, I think they FUCKED UP because the album ends like halfway through the film...

Supposedly you're meant to restart the album at that point.
Having sat and watched it (more than once) I think this theory is bullshit. The 'synch' works... but only if you squint and wish really hard.

It didn't impress me.
We are built to look for patterns but the patterns here are mere coincidence and not a very good one at that.
