i never drink wine. a friend of mine works at a wine warehouse. i told him if he ever gets free wine. well he got a case and gave me a bottle today. now im really thinking about drinking it.
its called: DeWaal Top of the Hill Pinotage 2001
i found the web site and read a little about it. i wanted to link the page on the site about the wine yet the link just takes me back to the main page.

ACCOLADES
The Top-of-the-Hill Pinotage is made from a more than 50-year-old single vineyard and only in those years that Daniel de Waal deems it exceptional quality. Three previous vintages (1996, 1997 and 2000) have been worthy of this honour and all three have received the ABSA Top 10 Pinotage award. The Top-of-the-Hill Pinotage wines also boast with 4½ and 5 stars in John Platter’s Wine Guide and was awarded WINE Magazine Pinotage Champion.

My cousin makes wine and he lets his sit in a decanter for a little while.
I always saw little crystals forming at the bottom of it, I'm guessing its tartrate. I don't know if thats why you should decant it though.. perhaps something in it tastes better when oxidized?

doesnt taste to good. its seems strong/ taste better with the food im eating. its like a cigar in grapes with some acidtone. also would taste alott better warm. its kinda chilled and should be at room temp
