I just got the shit scared out of me.
So I'm watching this movie and suddenly I hear my house alarm go off. I'm like totally freaking out thinking I'm either getting robbed or the neighbors reported smelling pot smoke and the cops are here (stoned, that happens to people).
so after checking out the whole house and seeing nothing I go back to my movie... and the alarm goes off again!
So i'm like SHIIIIIIIIITTT!!! REALLY freaking out... I pause the movie to see if I can hear anything... and I notice the characters were frozen in front of a metal detector... so I rewind and play the movie again.
yup, it was the metal detector in the movie.
FUCK that was scurry.

I know how ya feel, I've been scared shitless from similar happenings. Funny how a misinterpretation like that can cause serious paranoia.

Hahahaha. One time I left a movie running on my computer and forgot about it, cause I turned of the monitor and had the volume turned down real low.
I must've had it on looped playback, cause like 4 hours later as I'm going to bed, walking through the dark I hear these two men's hushed conversation coming from a dark room. I was pretty freaked out and grabbed the nearest solid blunt object, BURST into the room and flipped on the light switch, and then laughed at how rediculous I was when I figured out what'd happened.
Every once in awhile (especially while high) I'll do a quick sweep through my house to check for invaders

This shit always happens to me in my car... The stupid radio station plays a song or sound effect with sirens in it and I totally sketch out..

Yea, this is the most likely the sole reason paranoia develops when high, negative stigma FTL
And as a side note, i cant stand when songs have sirens in them, or a siren sound is played while driving. Most unnerving sound EVER, especially when driving.
And the most unnerving sight is a crown vic, or a mercury. Every time i see one i think its an unmarked. In VA tho, i have seen, unmarked SUV's, minivans, and compacts...they are getting tricky.

One time me and a few girlfriends got stoned on some pot cupcakes and decided to watch a movie with our friend Li Wei. Li Wei was an engineer in the marines and thought that getting stoned was "cute" and agreed to babysit us (we were really young and still needed some help while high). He played the movies on Windows Media Player. Halfway through the movie the scenes started to repeat without us noticing it until it had been happening for about 10 minutes. We all flipped out and thought we'd traveled forward through time, then backward, essentially seeing the same movie twice.
What we failed to realize was that Li Wei had clicked the little timer thing on the player backwards about 30 minutes to fuck with us. We were too stoned to think about the rewind function.
