An attorney based in Clarendon was questioned by May Pen detectives in connection with the discovery of a small amount of ganja at the police lock-up.

A police source at the station, who declined to release the name of the lawyer, said the alleged ganja find occurred on Monday afternoon.

Reports are that the lawyer took lunch to his client who is detained at the police lock-up.

It is alleged that during a routine search, ganja was allegedly seen at the bottom of the container of food.

The lawyer was not arrested.

However senior detectives questioned him and he was released the same day.

Efforts to ascertain if the attorney would be charged were unsuccessful.
