Dead Home Invader's Apartment Full Of Drugs

TUALATIN, Ore. - Police say the apartment of a dead home invader was full of drugs and drug-making equipment.

Jordan Case A 29-year-old woman woke up in her own apartment early Sunday morning to see 20-year-old Jordan Case hovering over her. She screamed and yelled for him to get out. The woman ran into her daughter's bedroom, blocking the door with her body. But she says Case battered his way in, and started attacking her. The woman's young daughter started hitting the man, screaming "let my mommy go!"

At that point, the woman got the upper hand. She got Case in a strangle-hold until police arrived. Then she grabbed her daughter and got out of the way.

Police say Case resisted arrest. Officers zapped him several times with stun-guns and also fired bean-bag rounds at him, but that didn't stop him; he ran outside, and tried to grab a rifle from a police car. That's when officers used real bullets to kill him.

After detectives identifed Case, they inspected his nearby apartment. They say they hauled away a variety of drugs and drug-making material including marijuana plants, hallucinogenic mushrooms, peyote cacti and equipment for making the drug mescaline from those peyote cactus plants.
