WTF is this

I am a first time cultivation newb.
I successfully colonized 10 rice cake jars and moved them all to the fruiting chamber. One of the cakes i seem to have squeezed too hard during the transfer.(i squeezed to hard because of nearly dropping the jar it was an auto response)...now in the places where the cake was squeezed, those spots are yellow to tan colored.....(this happened within a matter of 2 hours).
At first i thought this might just be bruised mycelium, but from what i have read here bruised mycelium is blueish green colored...that cake is the only cake to begin to pin very noticeably....i moved it to a different fruiting chamber. Is this thing contaminated or did i just squeeze to hard. I will follow up with a pic in a few moments. but until then any ideas?

if it is already colonized than it really wont get contamed in 2 hours, it could just be a super bad brusing maybe even mycelia death so if it pins and fruits then your fine otherwise does that shit. Kudos on the first succesful grow now go to bulk more challenging but more rewarding.

Im just afraid to eat it and die....lol a pic follows...now all of a sudden i have some strange growth on top that is dark brown this is about 12 hours later

its pinning hard core fat pins i give it a day or so to be harvested ...im just dont want to die eating them....or end up in the icu....think thats a safe bet i wont?

Its not contamed if its pinning fat, if it was contamed then the mycelium would be using all its energy into fighting of the contams and not pinning fat. But it is still up to you let them get nice and plump and harvest.

canweget some pics of the shrooms before you eat them just to be on the safe side? that cake just doesnt look right to me... could be cause the pic is blurry

sure as soon as they blossom ill post some....it dont look right to me either...and i have nothing to base that on besides others posts and pics.....show you in a few days

i could be wrong, but from the pics it almost looks like only the surface is colonised and you've scraped off that surface mycelium
