There's nothing more satisfying to me, then producing my own rhythms. As far as what to use, I would suggest getting reason4 and learn the shit out of it, or get a analog step sequencer and monkey around, learn sampling techniques and be creative. If you get bored, try something new, lots of people get frustrated and intimidated by reason, but I garrentee you its one of the best pieces of software for the production of noise. I'm srsly content with my setup, which is a korg emx which is a step sequencer and synthesizer that uses multi modeling technology, and then I sync with my computer to sample and drop the beat, with reason, sync'd threw midi transport, and then I've got a turntable, for samplage and skratching. Endless hours of nonstop fun. Sometimes just fucking around, noise can just fall together so well, and the beat just comes together. |
