 Chris Carpenter.. the most under-rated pitcher

seriously he is.. i stole him in the 3rd round of the fantasy draft and hes been great for me..
just tuesday he threw 7 innings with 13 strikeouts, a 0.00 era, and a 0.86 WHIP.
and on the season has only picked up 5 wins, but is holding it down with a 2.57 ERA
why doesnt anyone talk about this guy?

Carpenter has durability and consistency issues. Before '04 he was pretty mediocre. Last 2 and a half years he has been very good though.
At this point in the season 5 wins is pretty crappy. Projects out to 12 wins. My guess is he'll probably get maybe 15 if he doesn't get hurt. Not quite last years 21. Ks are a little light because of the missed starts. Solid pitcher, no god.
