So I'm reading a book right now called Is This a Great Game or What? by Tim Kurkjian who you may know as one of the faces on Baseball Tonight:
You know those baseball articles you read that point out that something that just happened has only happened once in the last sixty-seven years? Imagine a book that was nothing but one man's personal observations from 25 years of covering the sport and absolutely full of stuff like that. The guy is neurotic. He clips out the physical box scores to every game from the daily newspaper, and collates them in a binder. For 25 years he has done this, recording in a notebook notable hitting performances and pitching lines from every single game.
The book can get overwhelming at times. It's essentially a (not superbly written but it's okay writing) deluge of an immense amount of baseball trivia that borders on the inane. Any baseball fan would love it.

I bet I'd love it too. And I don't see where it would be a "waste of a life" anymore than all the other stupid crap people waste time on. IT's worked out for this guy. He gets to live, talk and breath baseball all day, hang around the game and meet all the players, and gets paid very well to do it.
I'd say it's a great life if that's your cup of tea.

Don't mind Jadian, he doesn't believe it's a sport if it doesn't take place in a cage and involve two-hundred pound sweaty and nearly naked men lying on top of each other for 20 minutes at a time.

Exactly. I played baseball my whole life growing up and I saw parents like this. They're fucking crazy.
And I like hockey too, not just MMA 
If they let baseball players fight it out and then resumed the game (like hockey) I'd like baseball too. Same with basketball. Both sports are just full of pussies though.

So you don't have players bitching out of everything. Like basketball for instance. You gonna foul Shaq all night long because he can't make 3's if there was a possibility of having to square off with him? Don't think so.
Pro athletes shouldn't be bitches, and Basketball, Baseball, and Soccer are full of them.

Man do I wish.
Even if they didn't actually fight, I mean something to keep the players honest from doing bitch moves and taking dives and stuff would be nice.
Baseball doesn't even apply to this as much as Basketball or Soccer, because there's not a lot of person to person contact in baseball. Although I do think if a guy gets hit and charges the mound they should let that shit go for a while instead of swarming the mound.
But there's so much diving and acting in soccer and basketball is makes me sick.

I think they're gonna start fining it in the NBA, too.
If people get away with it people get away with it, don't act like that shit doesn't happen in fighting too.

I've seen people bitch to refs about shit before when they were clearly just whining.
The way I see it is if you can flop, you can flop. Take whatever advantage you can get if you really want to.

And I think there should be legal retaliation for "flopping" as you put it.
You say do whatever cheap shit you want to get an advantage, I say let the people they pull it on have fair retribution.
If that doesn't show the spirit of somebody I don't know what does.
